Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program applications now open for 9 universities!

The Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) is an international leadership program that supports high-achieving students who lost one or both parents and are committed to returning to sub-Saharan Africa to contribute to the continent’s ongoing socio-economic progress.

The Scholarship programme  would provide bright students from under-represented communities in Africa with a fully funded opportunity to complete their Master’s training, develop transformative leadership skills and contribute to climate resilience and sustainable futures in Africa.

As part of an ambitious new strategy (Young Africa Works), the Foundation aims to enable 30 million young people in Africa to enter employment and entrepreneurship by 2030.

United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) has partnered with the Mastercard Foundation in its global Scholars Program.
